Our History

John Roberts started his building career at the St Albans College of Art and Building in 1964 studying for a Higher National Diploma in Building Contracts Management.

He later worked for several years for the Small Works division of Trollope and Colls in the City of London, before setting up in business on his own carrying out maintenance and repairs of offices, shops, restaurants and factories.

He moved down to the south west of England in the 80's and started renovating and selling Barns. In the early 90's he moved further south and ended up first in the Lot et Garonne and most recently in the Tarn et Garonne, where he has been for the past 18 years renovating old Quercy stone properties. Some of this has been development work for resale and some working directly for British, French and Dutch clients.

In 2006 and 2007 Sarl John Roberts built two new stone buildings from the foundations upwards and these are shown on the projects page.
